…no, I'm not getting married! It's that 'other' once-in-a-lifetime event, when an artist charts nationally in the Top 10. I figure this will only happen once, so I'm sharing the good news and extending thanks to all of you who have supported Michael J Downey and the World® for richer or for poorer… So, this week, our single – "america" – is at 6 on the national AC (adult contemporary) charts at FMQB. That means that this week, "america" had 851 "spins" (it was played 851 times on radio stations across America). Big thanks to my publicist, Luck Media, and my Radio Promoter, Tom Mazzetta. You guys are the BEST! And of course, the producer that made "america" what it is – David Longoria and the crew at Del Oro Music.

And, a great big thanks to all of you who have bought the "america" CD on Amazon.com or CDBaby, or downloaded it from iTunes. You have no idea what each sale of the album means to me. And all profits go to my non-profit organization (can I say that?) "hashi.org" which seeks to 'build cultural bridges' between America and SE Asia.

Lastly, a big hats-off to the good folks at Cinespots, who supply the pre-show content in the Cinelux movie theaters in Central California. They have graciously shown last-year's video "Bridge of No Return" in theaters for 11 months now, and have just picked up the new "america" video for the pre-show, and tell me they are in the process of acquiring another 100 theaters that the video will be shown in – Thanks Tedd and Cinespots. And of course, that brilliant director/producer team – Mike and Gina Britton.

It was great to return to all this good news after my 2^nd tour of Japan this year. So now it's all about America – all "america", all the time…
