Saturday, 4/11/09 - Just something I'm
noodling around with. I've been fascinated with moody, soundtrack music lately -
like Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road, et al). So, it's a
first attempt at writing that kind of stuff for me. See what you think...

Downey Tammy and Jules, isn't it amazing that we can write a song, record
it, and send it all around the world - to you, Tammy in Indiana, Jules in
Idaho, and Tim in Illinois - in a matter of a few hours. Of course, depending
on the song, that may or may not be a good thing...:) Thanks for listening.

Tim Schulz There are a lot of
terrific ambient composers andperformers worth checking out. I've been
listening to a lot of Jon Hassel lately, but there are tons more, obviously.
Not to influence your muse or anything, but find your local NPR station and
see if thy carry "Echoes"... you'll hear lots of world music/techno hybrids as
well as just about anything else you could imagine in this vein. Good stuff
here.

Tammy Watt I likes the way you
noodle Mr. Downey...
10 of 4 MoreTim, that's a good suggestion. I listen a lot to a station on XM Radio called "Spa" that features this kind of ambient, chill, cerebral kind of stuff. It's relaxing at work, and at the end of the day - John Serrie, Richard Bone, Steven Halpern, Piana, et al. Thanks.
