This September 17th, I'm going back to Japan for a week in
Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. It's my 9th trip there, and this time
I'm especially excited! It seems I was asked to speak at the Kansai International Music Conference in Osaka.
The conference will draw musicians from all over Japan, and from around the world.
I'm really looking forward to talking about how the universal language of music is 'building bridges' between cultures, and specifically, about touring in Japan. In the evenings, there will be plenty of music with showcase performances all over the city.
From there, I'll go to Kyoto for a couple of days and see friends and favorite places...
And finally to Tokyo for a couple of days
Shhh, it's a secret, but I've spent 2 out of the last 3 birthdays there, and this time I'm coming home the day before (September 25th). That way I get to celebrate in both places!
I'll definitely do a blog, and post pictures along the way.
